Salt & Sage is a private event space inside a private residence with an open-plan luxury entertainment floor that leads onto a balcony with private pool and 180 degree sea views of Bantry Bay on the Atlantic Seaboard of Cape Town. 
Chef Kimberly Jordan opened the space in 2019 and has been hosting small, private events for groups of family, friends and corporate teams who are looking for something different from the ordinary restaurant dining experience.
The space can accommodate anywhere between 6 – 16 guests for a tailored dining experience of your choice. 

An interactive cooking evening where you cook with the chefs to create a feast with multiple courses, learning and having fun as you go.

In teams, you are encouraged to create a tasty meal given your hero ingredient and open pantry. Chefs are there to assist you if needed but this is an event where chaos and creativity run free. 

A Chef’s Table experience where you enjoy a multi-course plated meal in a luxury, private venue where you are able to observe the chefs and be part of the experience.

I was born and bred in the melting pot of cuisines and cultures that is Durban, KZN. After matriculating from a boarding school in the Midlands, I went on to study and graduate with a Business Science (Honours) Degree in Marketing, at the University of Cape Town.
Upon graduating, I landed a prestigious internship at on South Africa’s top digital marketing agencies and although I was collecting all the ingredients and following every step in the ‘Recipe for Success’ – I realised there was something missing. The presentation was perfect, but I came to find little fulfilment in the finished product, wandering “Is this what it’s all about?”
Since then I have been working in the private dining, cooking lesson, cooking demo space where I fell in love with food, hosting and all the intricacies and details that go into it through Denise Levy, of Ginger and Lime. 
Deciding this was what I wanted to do with my life, I decided to actualize a long-term dream of mine and enrolled at chefs school for a one-year practical intensive course at SA Chef’s Academy in Woodstock. During my time there I did my apprenticeship at La Colombe in Constantia and graduated top of my year. 
I now run Salt & Sage full-time with the express intention of creating unique events where guests leave with their hearts and bellies full and satisfied.

Salt & Sage is situated in an upmarket residence in Bantry Bay, Cape Town with a spacious outside entertainment area and spectacular sea views. Sit around the open plan kitchen, enjoy your meals in the dining area, relax in the spacious lounge or have a sundowner on the patio and maybe take a dip in the private pool.
