WHAT WE DO
Salt & Sage is an event and dining space at a private residence in the heart of Bantry Bay on Cape Town’s Atlantic seaboard. In addition to the 180 degree sea views and breathtaking sunsets, our space boasts an open-plan luxury entertainment floor that leads onto a balcony with a plunge pool.
Chef Kimberly Jordan opened up her space to guests in 2019 and has been hosting small, private events for groups of family, friends and corporate teams who are looking for something different to the ordinary restaurant dining experience.
Our space can accommodate anywhere between 6 – 20 guests for a tailored dining experience of your choice.
WHAT WE OFFER

An interactive cooking evening where you cook with the chefs to create a feast with multiple courses in a fun and relaxed environment.


A Chef’s Table experience where you enjoy a multi-course plated meal in a luxury, private venue where you are able to observe the chefs and be part of the experience.
Chef Kim was born and raised in the melting pot of cuisines that is Durban and moved to Cape Town to study at UCT. Realising that food was her passion, she started working at Ginger and Lime in 2015 as executive assistant, eventually working her way up to leading Ginger and Lime’s interactive cooking classes.
In 2018 Kim decided to take her passion for food one step further and enrolled at South African Chefs Academy, graduating top of her class. She served her apprenticeship at La Colombe restaurant in Constantia, after which she opened The Kitchen Collective with partner Denise Levy in 2019. Now Kim operates Salt & Sage full-time along with catering and cooking demonstrations and activations for food and lifestyle brands.
Her passion is to share the love and joy of cooking, allowing her guests to learn the nuances of flavour and technique in a fun, relaxed and easy-to-grasp way. Kim is a gregarious, confident and passionate person who leads her classes with energy and humour whilst always striving to find the balance between professionalism and fun.
Instilling confidence in people to recreate the dish or employ the information learnt in their cooking going forward is what drives her to create engaging and empowering cooking lessons and experiences for her guests.


THE VENUE
Salt & Sage is situated in an upmarket residence in Bantry Bay, Cape Town with a spacious outside entertainment area and spectacular sea views. Sit around the open plan kitchen, enjoy your meals in the dining area, relax in the spacious lounge or have a sundowner on the patio and maybe take a dip in the private pool.
